The creators of Margazhi Thingal, which is Manoj Bharathiraja's first movie as a director, have delayed the release date of the romantic drama once more. The new release date is October 27, as mentioned in the official announcement poster.
Before, the movie was planned to come out on October 20. It's important to mention that actor Vijay's highly awaited action movie Leo is scheduled to be released on October 19.
Featuring his father and experienced filmmaker Bharathiraja in the main part, Margazhi Thingal also presents newcomers Rakshana and Shyam Selvan in important roles.
The trailer of Margazhi Thingal shows that Rakshana shares a strong bond with her grandfather, played by the seasoned Bharathiraja. She falls for Vinodh (Shyam Selvan) during school, causing a slight drop in her grades. Although her grandfather advises her to avoid meeting Vinodh until they finish their studies, societal issues like caste pose a barrier to their union.
The movie is supported by director Suseenthiran under the Vennila Productions company, and the music will be composed by Ilaiyaraaja. Suseenthiran will also act in the movie. Margazhi Thingal will be shot by AR Suriya and edited by Thiyagu.
It's worth mentioning that Manoj started his acting journey with Taj Mahal, directed by Bharathiraja.
