Director Nelson Venkatesan, who recently made the movie "Farhana" with Aishwarya Rajesh and Selvaraghavan, is now working on a new film called "DNA." This film stars Atharvaa and Nimisha Sajayan in the main roles, and it's being supported by Jayanthi Ambethkumar and Ambethkumar through their Olympia Movies production company
Nelson says that "DNA" will be a drama, much like his other movies, such as "Farhana," "Monster," and "Oru Naal Koothu." He made "Farhana" as a drama film with some thrilling parts, but some viewers saw it mainly as a drama.
The movie's opening ceremony is done, but Nelson hasn't spilled the beans about the story. He says, "The word DNA has many meanings, and when people see it, they might think of various things. The movie might connect to some of those meanings."
In addition to the main actors, the film also features Balaji Sakthivel and Ramesh Thilak, who were in the movie "Good Night" together recently.
The movie will be edited by VJ Joseph Sabu, who has worked on all of Nelson's previous films. Parthiban is the one handling the camera work, and Shivashankar is in charge of the art for the project.
"DNA" is happening in Chennai and nearby areas, and Nelson and the team hope to finish filming by December, with a goal to release it in the early part of next year.
