According to an announcement on social media, the movie "Maaveeran," featuring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role, has surpassed the Rs 50 crore mark in worldwide box office collections since its release on Friday.

"Maaveeran," the second directorial venture of Madonne Ashwin after "Mandela," has been produced by Shanthi Talkies. The film was also released in Telugu under the title "Mahaveerudu."

In the realm of fantasy action dramas, "Maaveeran" boasts a stellar cast, including Aditi Shankar, Myssin, Saritha, Yogi Babu, Monisha Blessy, Sunil, and more. Notably, the renowned actor Vijay Sethupathi lent his voice to a significant part of the film's storyline.

The movie's setting takes place in Chennai, where Sivakarthikeyan takes on the role of Sathya, a talented cartoonist. However, his life takes a thrilling turn after a freak accident grants him the ability to hear a mysterious voice, endowing him with the extraordinary power to foresee the near future. Meanwhile, Mysskin portrays the character of a cunning politician in the narrative.

With Vidhu Ayyanna as the cinematographer, "Maaveeran" is elevated with mesmerizing visuals. The music, crafted by Bharath Shankar, complements the film's captivating ambiance, while Philomin Raj's editing ensures a seamless and enthralling viewing experience.
