Vijay Sethupathi's forthcoming movie directed by Nithilan Saminathan has been titled Maharaja, which will also serve as the actor's 50th film. This project will mark the first collaboration between Vijay Sethupathi and Nithilan, known for his acclaimed work in the 2017 film Kurangu Bommai. The film is being jointly produced by Sudhan Sundaram's Passion Studios and Jagdish Palanisamy's The Route banners.
In Maharaja, an impressive ensemble cast has been assembled, featuring Vijay Sethupathi, Anurag Kashyap, Mamta Mohandas, and Natty Natraj in significant roles. The film also includes Abhirami, Arul Doss, Munishkanth, Boys Manikandan, Singam Puli, Bharathiraja, Vinod Sagar, and PL Thenappan among its talented cast members.
Dinesh Purushothaman takes charge of the cinematography in Maharaja, while the music is composed by Ajaneesh Loknath, and the editing is done by Philomin Raj. Additionally, Vijay Sethupathi is involved in multiple projects, such as Merry Christmas, Gandhi Talks, and Jawan, which features Shah Rukh Khan.
