In a previous report, we highlighted that Vipul Amrutlal Shah is producing The Kerala Story, a film that chronicles the disappearance of girls from Kerala over the last several years. Siddhi Idnani has now taken to Twitter to reveal that the movie is set to release globally on May 5th.
The teaser for Sudipto Sen's latest film, which aims to showcase the distressing tale of women being coerced into religious conversion, was released by its creators on Thursday. The film aims to bring to light the tragic fate of over 32,000 women who have gone missing in Kerala.
Last year in November, The Kerala Story teaser was released, which included actress Adah Sharma playing the role of Fatima Ba, a Muslim woman who was forced to convert to Islam. Fatima's character recounts her tragic tale of being abducted from her home and brainwashed by religious extremists, eventually leading to her becoming an ISIS terrorist and landing in an Afghanistan jail. Ashin A Shah of Sunshine Pictures is also a producer of the film.
A release date has been announced for the film ‘The Kerala Story’.
