Prashanth Neel, who directed the widely acclaimed KGF 1 & 2, is now directing the upcoming action thriller film 'Salaar,' featuring the pan-Indian star Prabhas in the lead role. The movie, which also stars Shruti Haasan, is in its final stages of production and marks the first collaboration between the two actors. The expectations for this film are incredibly high, given the tremendous success of KGF.
With a production budget of Rs 200 Crore, Salaar is set for a global theatrical release on September 23rd. Reportedly, the movie has secured the highest-ever overseas deal for an enormous sum.
As per available reports, Salaar's overseas distribution rights have been sold for a staggering Rs 90 Crore, surpassing even the record-breaking sale of RRR for Rs 75 Crore. Prabha's previous blockbuster Baahubali 2 earned Rs 65 Crore from its overseas distribution, while his most recent release, Radhe Shyam, fetched only Rs 24 Crore. Fans are overjoyed by this news and eagerly anticipate the film's release.
