Rajini-Ranjith movie gets a religious title !

The Pa.Ranjith directorial Superstar’s next movie is untitled till now. Some sources anticipated that it would be Kaali or Narasimha as Rajini’s character is an ageing gangster. But now we hear that it would be named as Kannabiran. This name was already registered by director Ameer for a Vijay movie but the project was a dream didn’t come true.

Due to some sentimental issues like a fire accident during the 1980 movie Kaali and the director of the 2001 movie Narasimha had died in an accident, Rajini himself has turned down these two titles. So the makers are in negotiating talks with Ameer to fix Kannabiran and in fact, the title Lingaa was also pre-registered by Ameer.

We don't know the reasons why the director has chosen a religious title in spite of various suggestions. The movie is starting its shooting in Malaysia with the leads from September 18 and the rehearsal of the scenes are taking place in Chennai. Radhika Apte, the female lead has joined the sessions. It is said that actress Dhanshika will be doing the role of Rajini’s daughter.
