A Documentary on Rajini enters Venice Film Festival
Article posted on 31 July 2015N.Ravi - A common man, a diehard fan of Rajinikanth and the President of Rajini Fans Club at Sholinghur, near Chennai. On October 2010, he climbed 1200 steps in a local temple by his knees for the success of Rajini’s Endhiran !
The next day Rinku Kalsy, an Indian filmmaker based on Netherlands have read about this in a local newspaper in Chennai and this inspired her to make a movie on the legendary actor. There came the documentary ‘For the love of a man’ produced by her along with a Professor from University of Michigan from raising funds and took four years to complete the film. She followed the life of a look-alike artist, a driver, etc and learnt how Rajini influence their life.
And now, it is an honor that the movie has been selected under the Documentary Section of Venice Classics in the 72nd Venice Film Festival. The maker is also expecting in screening the movie to the one and only Superstar before releasing worldwide.
