The bilingual script to be made by Mani Ratnam as we all know has been confirmed to have Karthi in Tamil and Mammootty in Malayalam. We also hear that it will be made in Hindi too and will be a mega budget one where the director will club with a corporate production house.

Aishwarya Rai has been rumoured to play the female lead. Shruti Haasan has also been approached for the role, yet confirmation is awaited for the same. It is likely to have Aishwarya because of their good combination workout and her ready consent anytime. She has also expressed her happiness in working with him and added a line, “I am a director’s actor and he’s an actor’s director” in regard with it.

She was last seen in Endhiran with Rajini. Further the director had been vital for her in making debut in Tamil through Iruvar (1997) and has also given good films in her list like the Guru (2007) and Raavanan (2010).
