Nalan Kumarasamy, who entered into Kollywood through his stories in Naalaya Iyakunar had made debut as a director in Soodhu Kavvum. He had also won the Best Debutant award for the same. He started his second flick soon with the same actor and with Madonna Sebastian in the female lead. Though untitled officially, it is rumoured to be titled as Eskimo Kadhal, a romantic drama.
Produced by Thirukumaran Entertainment owned by C.V Kumar, Samuthirakani and art director Kiran are giving supporting roles. The first schedule was shot in Mettukuppam region in Chennai and Bangalore. Initially the story was narrated to Suriya which was not accepted by him due to his busy schedule. Hence the director has retained the Soodhu Kavvum team of cast and crew intact.
Recently the producer C.V.Kumar tweeted that the shooting went on vigorously from April 15 to July 11 and was wrapped up fruitfully. Within 25 days, 50% of the film was shot. The cinematography was done by Dinesh Krishnan, editing by Leo John Paul, music composed by Santhosh Narayanan and art direction by Vijay Aathi Nathan. There are also sources repeatedly giving words that it will be a remake of a Korean movie.
