STR’s Vaalu was scheduled to be released on July 17 after many hindrances. The initial sign for the movie was made in 2010 by the director but the shooting was started only in 2012. During that year, Simbu had to finish off his Podaa Podi which has also been dragging from 2008. So he prioritized Podaa Podi and put Vaalu on hold.
The later years marked the difficulty of gathering the artists, issues of title registration, complaint by the Cinematographer Shakthi and finally decided by Chimbu Cine Arts to own the distribution rights. Even in the month of June, it got clashed with Santhanam’s Inimey Ippadithaan and confirmed its release on July 17 along with Dhanush’s Maari.
Now, a case put by Magnum Rays Production House on the distribution rights had stayed the release on the date. But STR, with aspiring hope had said that as an actor he had put his heart and soul in making this film and with the divine blessings, the movie will be released as scheduled, he confirms. He is also confident that his movie will make success amidst the obstacles.
