Director Lingusamy who owns a production house in the name of Thirrupathi Brothers has been giving many successful movies to Kollywood under his direction and also others. The recently released Uttama Villain was jointly produced by the former company and Raaj Kamal Films International owned by Kamal Haasan. Uttama Villain seems to be lagging behind the expected collection worldwide and the production company had been under loss for about 12 crore in India.
In this scenario, Kamal has given his assurance to Lingusamy that he will work on a full length comedy like the Sathi Leelavathi with a small budget for 25 crores. The movie would be directed by the veteran director Singeetam Srinivasa Rao who is well versed in delivering a commercial comedy. His projects, ‘Apoorva Sagodharargal’ and ‘Michael Madana Kama Rajan’ with Kamal had been a good entertainer of all times.
With the aspiration that Ulaganayagan’s movies will render a sufficient box office within India and overseas to compensate for the loss, Thirrupathi Brothers are now showing a sigh of relief.
