A light hearted entertainer

On the whole, Pittagoda is small town love story which has its heart in the right place. Simple setting, decent comedy, and elegant love story are huge assets. If you are quite okay with the predictable nature and don’t mind the routine and hurried up endings, this film with with some realistic and feel good emotions ends up as a decent watch this weekend.
Comedy entertainer

Pittagoda is a film with different flavour which has been blended with natural locations, new faces and fresh episodes. The introduction episodes have been extremely convincing which keeps up the expectations on the film. When the audience are left with much expectations, the film has been dragged because of many unwanted episodes. The most awaited flashback episodes looks extremely faked and it will not leave the audience convinced.
Pittagoda is a no-frills story and an honest attempt to entertain

Pittagoda is, the few intense scenes it had to offer to elevate the experience needed him to shine through a little more as the hero. His attempt to speak the Telangana slang as Tippu was patchy which you can’t help but notice when he is switching between two distinct accents. Divya (Punarnavi) the female lead in the film unlike most mainstream films has a well-rounded character, which has significance in the progression of the plot.
Decent comedy and witty one-liners

Pittagoda is a story of four jobless guys in Godavari Khani. Though the story is ordinary, the director has succeeded in engaging the audience with witty one-liners. Telangana dialect is the major highlight of the film. Tippu and his friends are illiterates. Scenes involving their lack of English knowledge came out well. The comedy worked out very well. One-liners are simply designed and placed. The suspense element in the interval is the plus point in this movie.
Simplistic outing

The director gets on board a good casting, especially Vishwadev and Punarnavi. The lead pair put up a realistic performance here. The interval twist is one of the assets. Probably because of the over reliance on feel-good features, the writer treated the villainy with a stepmotherly attitude. The climax, as a logical corollary, peters out. The pace is sluggish, what with the crime angle making do with simplistic screenplay. The way challenges are overpowered needed a more fleshed out treatment.
