A love story with a twist set in Dongri

Gashmeer Mahajani is the son of Marathi superstar Ravindra Mahajani and does have a definite screen presence. He’s comfortable in front of the camera and eases into the nuances of his role confidently. Reecha Sinha has expressive eyes and makes good use of them in the emotional scenes. There is a definite chemistry between them both and that works in the film’s favour. Dongri Ka Raja can be labelled as an honest effort to recreate the gangster genre. A little more effort would have resulted in a far better film.

Ronit Roy pulls off this role on auto-pilot mode. Whereas Ashmit Patel’s performance has a fair amount of turbulences. Debutants Gashmeer and Reecha have also not had the smoothest of take-offs.
